My Mom usually comes home for Mother's Day and my Grandmother's birthday in October. This year because Chad & I went to Hawaii for two weeks in the summer, my Mom didn't have as much time off work. But, since my Grandmother was turning 89 she still wanted to come for a shorter visit for my Grandmother's birthday. My Mom's birthday is at the beginning of November and it worked out for Chad and I to go to Wilmington the weekend of my Mom's birthday, so we were able to celebrate both of their birthdays.
